Google Apps for Work, formerly Google Apps for Business, has become an absolute powerhouse productivity suite with enterprise grade email, calendars, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, admin controls, shared or private cloud storage and loads of marketplace apps. These apps can allow for connectivity between Gmail and your CRM or your ERP, for instance.

Last year, I began recommending Google Apps for all of my clients who were willing to make a transition. The initial change from a Microsoft dominated world where users consider Outlook to be “email” is a daunting one for some. But, for those clients who bravely jumped into Google Apps, they’ve seen the light.

If you’ve got questions or are thinking about moving your organization to Google Apps, drop me a line and I’ll be happy to share any pitfalls I’ve dodged in moving clients away from POP, IMAP, or even Exchange email and how to instruct your team to share files via Google Drive and collaborate on Google Docs (in real time!), I would be happy to share my experience.
